Do not paint a teak bench. After cleaning a synthetic brush with a solvent, use soap and water for one last cleaning. Reshape the brush and hang to dry. The technique was the normal one for ancient Greek and Roman panel paintings, and remained in use in the Eastern Orthodox icon tradition. They are obtainable in dissimilar size. Some painting brushes come in the shape of a pencil tip and others are in the size as large as brushes used at home. Artists have the freedom to use any size or shape of oil paint brush.
